Rich Valley fire drill pulls out all the stops

Posted on:

Rich Valley students engaged in some active safety learning last Friday when volunteers from the Rich Valley Volunteer Fire Department visited the school to assist with a full fire drill, complete with fire trucks, sirens and mock scenarios.

Students learned personal safety awareness and enthusiastically participated in mock scenarios with the firefighters while learning the steps they would take as a class, and as individuals, in the event of a fire at the school.

Every NGPS school conducts a minimum of six fire drills per school year as part of their safety planning.
