Grade 5 students of Whitecourt Central Elementary School welcomed the public to their wax museum filled with the heroes of our Canadian history yesterday.

With displays of information and life-like costumes, it was easy to forget you were still in the school gym. The best part, however, was s sculpture that came to life at the touch of a button to share its 'pre-recorded' message.

As one student put it - "It was like the heroes were actually alive!"

Dr. Emily Stowe, Harriet Tubman, Roberta Bondar and George Brown were among the heroes featured at this very entertaining and engaging project.
