Second Language Programs

Background

Second language programs benefit students.

Procedures

  1. To introduce a second language program, the Principal, in consultation with the School Council, must prepare a long-range plan that addresses:
    1. Parent and community support;
    2. Enrollment projections, class organization and time requirements;
    3. Financial implications; and
    4. Impact on other school programs and Division programs.
  2. The Superintendent may approve the introduction of a second language into the school.
