Grade Level Placement of Students

Background

Grade level placement decisions are to be made in the best educational interests of students.

Procedures

  1. The Principal shall:
    1. Consider the academic, social and physical development needs of the students when grade level placement decisions are made;
    2. Consult with the Superintendent or designate when considering the placement of a student to be in a grade level that is not at the subsequent grade level for the following school year; and
    3. Consult with parents when considering the placement of a student.
