It's National School Bus Safety Week!
National School Bus Safety Week is a public education program that joins parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school staff and community members in addressing the importance of school bus safety.
The school bus is an extension of the classroom and should always be a safe and caring environment. Our collective efforts, from bus safety planning and practice, to driver training and school bus features, all help to ensure a safe ride to and from school for all.
Approximately 4,000 students, including those travelling to Living Waters schools in Whitecourt and Holy Family schools in Valleyview, board Northern Gateway Public Schools buses, across more than 80 routes, and travel over 10,000 kilometers each day!
