A by-election for School Board Trustee for Ward 3, Electoral Subdivision No. 1, was called on October 30 following the resignation of the incumbent. Nominations closed this past Wednesday, November 27 at noon.

A warm congratulations and welcome back to Mr. Jim Hailes who has been acclaimed to the position of School Board Trustee representing Fox Creek!

Jim and his wife Janice are 45 year residents of Fox Creek where they have raised their family and now enjoy five wonderful grandkids.

Jim served 11 years as a Fox Creek Town Councillor and is currently serving his first term as Mayor. Jim is a retired educator who served as a teacher and administrator during his 34 year career with NGPS. He also served previously as the Northern Gateway School Division trustee for Fox Creek for seven years and continues to be an active volunteer in his community.
