Updated May 6, 2021: K-12 transition to at-home learning

On May 4, the Government of Alberta announced that all students in Grades K-12 will transition to at-home online learning beginning this Friday, May 7. School leaders, teachers and staff are working hard to make the transition as easy as possible for students and their families.

Under Alberta’s new public health measures, students are expected to return to in-person learning on Tuesday, May 25.

Northern Gateway Public Schools students are expected to return to in-person classes on Thursday, May 27, due to a day in lieu and a non-operational day, as per the 2020-21 NGPS school year calendar.

We know this is a difficult  and stressful transition. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to support your children. Please reach out to your child’s school principal if you have questions.
